    Cowboy Christmas

    Las Vegas, daily 9 a.m. through Dec. 15, 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas

    Santa Train

    Nevada State Railroad Museum Santa Train

    Carson City, every half hour, weekends of Dec.15 and 22, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    Children and their families ride in railcars pulled behind a historic steam locomotive with Santa handing out candy canes to all.

    Northern Lights Tahoe, Incline Village

    Tahoe, Through Dec. 31

    This festival of lights features the north Tahoe communities of Incline Village and Crystal Bay. Many special activities will be held at various venues during the festival, including holiday concerts, Tahoe Film Fest, a holiday craft fair, holiday sing-along, and lots more. Note that many activities are adults only.

    Reno Wind Symphony: Holiday Celebration

    Dec. 15-16; Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Sunday, 3 p.m., Nightingale Concert Hall, Church Fine Arts building, UNR

    Free tickets at MacLean Financial Group or Heritage Bank. Concert will include a featured recitation of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by KOH Radio personality Ross Mitchell and his vocal solo of “The Grinch Stole Christmas.”

    Ugly Sweater Wine Walk

    Reno, Dec. 15, 2-5 p.m.

    The Riverwalk Merchants Association hosts the popular event along the Truckee River and neighboring streets in downtown Reno. This is a 21 and older event. Pets and strollers are not advised. For more information, call 775-825-WALK (9255).
