Another Mineral County building was torn down this week in conjunction with a Community Development Block Grant. The former Sierra Pacific Power or Mineral County Power (for those older residents), located on the corner of 4th and E Street in Hawthorne was demolished by Art Johnson. The building had been used for storage for the county and recently the Mineral County Fire and Hawthorne Volunteer Fire had used the building for training.
