    LAS VEGAS – With the holidays right around the corner, the De Castroverde Law Group wants to make the season special for teachers throughout Southern Nevada who have had an enormous impact on their students.

    Through Nov. 9, the firm is accepting nominations from current students, former students or parents for its Fall 2018 Teacher Appreciation Award,  given to teachers who have had an enormous impact on their students, leaving an impression that will last, or has lasted, way beyond graduation.

    “Teachers are the driving force behind increasing student achievement and we are focused like never before in helping those great teachers here in Southern Nevada,” said  firm partner Alex De Castroverde. “We know the contributions they make out of their own pockets and how important it is for local businesses to help.”

    Prizes include:

    • Grand prize: $750 for classroom supplies, plus a $250 Amazon gift card.
    • Runner Up: $500 for classroom supplies, plus a $200 Amazon gift card.
    • Honorable mention: $250 in classroom supplies, plus a $100 Amazon gift card.

    To nominate a teacher in grades K-12, please fill out this short form located here. The contest is open to all educators who teach in Clark County. Nominations will be accepted through Nov. 9, 2018, with winners announced Nov. 26, 2018 on the firm’s website. Those who submit a nomination will be eligible for a $25 Amazon gift card if the teacher is selected based on their submission.
