    Reno Gazette-Journal: Crowded races shape up for Reno mayor, council seats and Washoe sheriff

    The Reno Gazette-Journal is reporting Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve has drawn a crowded field of opponents by the end of candidate filing Friday, including three who ran against her four years ago.

    Reno council members Naomi Duerr and Paul McKenzie also will have to work to keep their seats this year.

    And the field of candidates vying to replace outgoing Washoe County Sheriff Chuck Allen settled at seven.
