Stunning paintings, ceramics, digital art and jewelry were on display during the month of March for the Artist’s Showcase in Mesquite.
Several local artists covered a four by eight-foot space in the gallery which provided an eclectic floor to ceiling exhibit and kept the guest’s eyes roaming the room.
The showcased art doesn’t stop in the front of the gallery like it usually does, local artists’ displays continue all the way to the back of the gallery. While in the back, you can also get a look at the marvelous digital photography on display for the March Artist of the Month.
An open house reception will be held on Thursday, March 22, at the Mesquite Fine Arts Center, 15 W. Mesquite Blvd. from 4-6 p.m.
Come help celebrate these wonderful artists who enrich our lives visually. Wander around the gallery and meet the people who created the exciting and beautiful artwork. If you feel inclined to take a piece home, you can do that; all artwork on display is for sale.
While you’re there, purchase a raffle ticket or two and drop it in the box for the chance to win your favorite piece of donated art.
Tickets for the raffles will be drawn at the annual Art in the Yard Sale sponsored by the Virgin Valley Artists Association. The sale is set for Sat. March 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery classroom and Ampitheater.
This event will feature upscale yard sale items, indoor and outdoor art booths and several art raffle drawings. The drawings will be held at 2 p.m. after ticket sales have closed.
Proceeds from sales go toward the scholarship fund for high school seniors that are awarded each year.
