The Reno Gazette Journal reported Thursday that Washoe County School district officials are making sure parents know all school threats should be immediately reported to police after more rumors than usual have been spread on social media since the February school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
“We have been overloaded in the past week and a half,” Superintendent Traci Davis told the newspaper.
Rumors of threats have been investigated over the last few weeks at Swope Middle School, Billinghurst Middle School, O’Brien Middle School, Sparks Middle School, Clayton Middle School, Damonte Ranch High School and McQueen High School.
