    Reno Gazette-Journal: Fernley housing market on the rise

    The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that renters in Fernley are seeing a drastic increase in the price of their homes, some up to 40 percent:

    Fernley realtor Linda Lawton at LL Realty said the city is feeling the effects of the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center.

    “The effects of Tesla and the other companies are here now,” she said. “Because of that, house prices are going to go up, and the rental market is in a crisis right now.”

    LL Realty has rented 65 properties in the past 45 days, she said. The company, which does both home sales and rentals, has just two properties available for rent, and properties that come available are usually rented before they go onto the company’s available list, she said.
